R Ǝ B Ǝ N T Ʌ Ç Ʌ̃ O is a study of collapse, friction and decay. At the center is the body, its position in the world, its relationship with space and its ability to resist and transform itself. It is through this body that the lines of existence are drawn and deconstructed, because I start from the premise that the personal is political - and that art, even when we want it to be, is often not political enough.
My choreographic research is not limited to movement, but becomes an act of resistance and affection, exploring the social and the political, which intertwine with the performing body within the intimate and relational space of the theater. There is something subversive about the movement I propose, something that resists the attempt to escape and the need for deep reflection on power dynamics and social issues. The body, as subject and object, becomes the battleground, the metaphor for what breaks down, what is built and what dissolves.
This work uses key concepts such as affection, persistence, presence and influence. Creation takes place through subtraction - a constant removal of what doesn't belong, of layers that need to be peeled away for something essential to emerge. Instead of accumulating, I try to clean, to empty, to let the space resonate with what is necessary. The prolonged actions I propose, the intensities I explore, create a suspension, a tension between what is seen and what is intuited. The research exposes itself continuously, without the protection of certainties, allowing itself to be taken over by ambiguity, by the fusion between the concrete and the abstract, by the play between the images that emerge, the voice, the body, the presence, the breath.
In fact, it's a constant restart, where repetition becomes more and more of an affirmation, an attempt to dissolve the barriers between subject and object, the individual and the collective, the visible and the invisible. In each gesture, there is an invitation to explore the imponderable, that which escapes control and reveals itself through vulnerability and the desire to affect and be affected.
Bursting is an endless process, where collapse is not the end, but the moment of transformation, of possibility. The friction between the layers, the decay of what once was, and the persistence of a new movement that is born between the cracks - all this is part of a dance that never ends, but is continually remade, day after day.
