Classes and (intensive) Workshops
Since 2010, Cristina Planas Leitão has been sharing a pedagogical practice deeply influenced by David Zambrano’s Flying Low and Passing Through, following her participation in the renowned 50-day intensive in Costa Rica, where she was invited as the only Portuguese artist after years of dedicated study with Zambrano.
Cristina teaches these principles through her own embodied perspective, adapting the practice to the needs of each temporary group and to her evolving artistic vision. The work focuses on spiralling pathways, floor connection, speed, release of energy and efficient movement in and out of the ground. Through progressive dynamics, imagery and touch, participants are invited to discover their own physical solutions rather than reproduce fixed forms.
Rooted in experimentation, responsiveness and presence, the practice develops agility, coordination and awareness while activating the centre and expanding movement possibilities beyond habitual patterns.
